A class-action lawsuit by Badger Crossing Pub & Eatery in Monroe is the latest to join a growing list of lawsuits over denied business interruption claims amid losses and closures from the COVID-19 crisis, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.

The eatery, along with Madison Sourdough, a group of Minnesota taverns, two restaurants in Chicago, and Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant in Door County, have also recently filed lawsuits against Fond du Lac-based Society Insurance over whether losses from state-ordered business closures are covered by business interruption insurance.
