Latinx relief fund distributes over $1.1 million

The Latinx Consortium for Action (LCA), sponsored by Centro Hispano of Dane County, has distributed a total of $1,184,014 in COVID-19 relief, according to the recently-released LCA Relief Fund report. The fund was formed at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and more than 2,100 applications were received within the first two weeks.

The more than $1.1 million was distributed to 1,464 approved applicants, including individuals and families. Funds were raised from donor contributions, local foundations, and United Way dollars, as well as $465,484 in CARES Act funding through Dane County.
