Latino Academy of Workforce Development to hold open house this week

Madison’s Latino Academy of Workforce Development on Thursday, Nov. 14 will host an open house from 4–7 p.m. at 2909 Landmark Place, Madison365 reports. The event will introduce the organization’s new executive director, Dr. Nydia Martinez.

Martinez succeeds Baltazar de Anda Santana, who previously served the organization for 12 years. Martinez has more than 10 years of leadership experience in community engagement and post-secondary education. She was previously the dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Eastern Washington University.

The open house event will offer refreshments and feature a short program starting at 5:30 p.m.
