Latino Academy of Workforce Development gets $300K for bilingual trades program

Madison’s Latino Academy of Workforce Development is among 15 nonprofit recipients of nearly $9 million in Gable Grants from the Lowe’s Foundation, according to Madison365. The organization will receive $300,000 to be distributed between 2025–27.

The Lowe’s Foundation Gable Grants work to educate and advocate for the next generation of skilled trades workers. The funding will support student cohorts through a bilingual trades program with safety certifications, blueprint reading, and financial education.
