Lands’ End financial woes continued in the third quarter, as the Dodgeville-based retailer saw losses of nearly 40% compared to the same period a year ago.
Lands’ End third quarter profit of $10.7 million, or 33 cents a share, was down the $18 million, or 56 cents, it earned in the same period ending in October a year earlier. Sales also dipped close to 10%, from $373.1 million a year ago to $334.4 million this year.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, shares of Lands’ End stock traded at more than $50 as recently as January, but haven’t traded above $30 since June as a result of the company’s recent dismal financial fortunes.
