Landowners are asking for nearly twice as much land to be annexed for the $3 billion QTS data center campus near DeForest, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

An initial request for 615 acres from the town of Vienna has grown to 1,135 acres by landowners, with no explanation given for the increase.

Depending on the type of petition used by the landowners to gain a larger annex, either all, half or 20% of residents on the proposed land would need to sign the petition.

The annex petition will be reviewed by the village and the state Department of Administration.
