Amid concerns of rising school fights, LaFollette High School has severed its contract with Flywheel Skill Share, a restorative justice company that enforces discipline through proactive action and dialogue rather than punishment, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The contract, which was supposed to run through June, was suspended in early October. Flywheel Skill Share management said the cancellation of the contract could lead to layoffs within the company. The roughly $84,000 contract was enacted as a good-faith agreement for restorative justice work at the school. The contract had been approved unanimously by the Madison School Board in September but had yet to be finalized.
