Madison’s La Follette High School introduced a new course in game design this year.

Freddie Pellien, a La Follette High teacher, proposed and designed the class over three years, and it’s the first of its kind in the Madison Metropolitan School District, the Cap Times reports

According to the article, Pellien pitched the class to the district by tying it to local workforce needs. 

Wisconsin is a hotbed of video game development, and a state bill could turn it into a video game development hub, growing job opportunities in the industry.
