La Crosse-based Kwik Trip announced Tuesday that it will soon break ground on a new DeForest distribution center, according to WMTV15. The new location aims to reduce distribution costs for some of Kwik Trip’s areas of operation; all Kwik Trip stores currently are serviced from its distribution center in La Crosse.
The new 280,000-square-foot facility will ultimately service 350 Kwik Trip stores. It will include a freezer, four air conditioned rooms, a cooler, and dry good storage. The company estimates that the new center will employ 400 people.
