A State Street restaurant may get its liquor license back.

The city’s Alcohol License Review Committee opted not to renew Koi Sushi’s license in June after learning that the restaurant owner had done some unpermitted interior construction work.

According to a Wisconsin State Journal report, the owner has since presented the proper documents to the city, leading the ALRC to recommend the license be reinstated.

The City Council will vote on the matter on Sept. 4.
