Menomonee Falls-based Kohls Corp. is set to close 27 stores nationwide amid financial struggles and falling stock prices, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. An announcement from the company on Thursday said underperforming stores across 15 states will shutter by April, and employees have been informed.

None of the stores set to close are in Wisconsin. The retailer operates roughly 1,150 stores in the U.S. The news comes less than a week before Ashley Buchanan takes over as the company’s CEO.
