Wisconsin-based Kohl’s Corp. will close stores indefinitely and furlough 85,000 of its 122,000 employees until further notice, according to a story from Milwaukee Business Journal. Additionally, its chief executive officer will not take a salary.
The layoffs come as retailers including Macy’s, DSW, and TJX (TJ Maxx) take similar measures in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
