Dane County Executive Jamie Kuhn announced the hiring of Kevin Scheibler as director of the Alliant Energy Center (AEC).
Scheibler comes to the AEC with nearly 40 years’ experience in facilities management, most recently as the executive director of the Credit Union 1 Arena and UIC Dorin Forum in Chicago, Illinois.
Scheibler began his career in marketing and sales, including a position from 1990–94 as the marketing manager for the then-named Dane County Expo Center. In 1996, as director of marketing and sales, he was part of the team charged with opening the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He then transitioned to top leadership roles including general manager for the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek, Michigan, from 1999–2013. He has served as executive director of the Credit Union 1 Arena and UIC Dorin Forum since 2013.
The County Board approved Scheibler’s nomination on Sept. 19. He began serving on Sept. 23.
