The city of Kenosha has informed Gov. Scott Walker that it is removing its pursuit of Foxconn, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.
Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian had asked for some changes from the state to support its bid to host the $10B plant. Without that support, Kenosha bows out and it becomes more likely that the plant will be built in the village of Mount Pleasant in Racine County.
That is, if the state legislation authorizing a special tax-credit district for Foxconn Technology Group passes both houses of the Wisconsin Legislature this week. If so, it heads to Gov. Scott Walker’s desk.
