Kanopy Dance is launching its winter/spring season beginning March 1–3 with the production, Graham: In HER Voice, honoring Martha Graham Dance Co.’s 100th anniversary. The performance, held at Overture Center for the Arts, will feature Graham’s “Suite from Appalachian Spring,” staged and directed by guest artists Miki Orihara and Sandra Kaufmann.
Kanopy will also offer two master classes exploring the Graham technique and taught by Orihara and Kaufann. The first will take place on Thursday, Jan. 18 from 6–7:30 p.m. at the Kanopy Center for Contemporary Dance, located at 329 W. Mifflin St. A second master class will be held on Sunday, Jan. 21 from 10–11:30 a.m. at the same location.
