Thanks to one local couple, every dollar donated to Agrace, a Wisconsin-based nonprofit provider of hospice care and related health services, until the end of 2024 will go further toward supporting end-of-life care. Todd and Shari Nelson, owners of Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, will match all donations made to Agrace up to $100,000 through Dec. 31.

Each day Agrace serves more than 1,800 patients and clients across southern Wisconsin who are aging, seriously ill, dying, or grieving. Community donations make it possible for Agrace to offer free or discounted hospice care or supportive (palliative) care to local patients who lack adequate insurance coverage. This includes people who are too young to qualify for Medicare and those whose lengthy or expensive medical treatment has left them without a cure and unable to pay for end-of-life care.
