After 29 years, Kabul, a Mediterranean restaurant on State Street has closed after its owner, Hamed Zafari, chose not to renew a five-year lease, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
Zafari’s father opened the establishment, but Hamed says restaurant traffic has changed over the years and is now is more focused toward the State Capitol end of the street.
He may look for another location elsewhere, perhaps Middleton.
