Sheboygan County’s Johnsonville announced last week that it will close its Meadowside facility on the company’s headquarters campus later this year, according to the BizTimes. The move follows the company’s acquisition of Denmark-based Salm Partners, which has been a co-packer for Johnsonville for several years.

Johnsonville has acquired two production plants in Denmark as part of the deal. The 390 workers at its Meadowside plant will have jobs through the end of June. Employees who remain with the company through that time period will receive stay-on bonuses. Johnsonville said it hopes to keep as many of the affected employees as possible in Sheboygan County across the company’s other production facilities.
