Sheboygan Falls-based Johnsonville, the nation’s No. 1 sausage brand, is expanding its global headquarters by 49,000 square feet to accommodate a development center, fitness area, and more office space.
The expansion is being helped by as much as $10 million in state tax credits from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (WEDC) over the next five years based on the number of jobs created, the amount of capital investment it makes, the amount it spends on purchasing equipment, goods, and services from Wisconsin companies, and the amount spent on employee training through 2021.
Johnsonville currently employs 1,200 across the state and plans to add 100 jobs over the next five years.
Construction is underway and should be completed by the end of the year.
