GE Healthcare may cut up to 50 jobs in the Milwaukee area and perhaps 10 in Madison as the company streamlines its structure to reduce costs. The exact number is yet to be determined because the company will reportedly try to find alternative roles for the affected employees. About 1.5% of the company’s 6,500 employees in southern Wisconsin will be affected. The company’s Life Support Systems plant, at 3030 Ohmeda Drive in Madison, employs around 685 people.
