Plans to erect one of the largest goat farms in the world in Jefferson County, which were announced last week, have since been scrapped after the owners reportedly decided to move the project to a different county.
The owners hoped to purchase about 250-acres in Jefferson County for a 9,000-animal goat farm that could be operational a year from now. Instead, they worked with a different county, yet to be identified.
