Tosoh Bioscience LLC, a subsidiary of Tosoh Corp. in Japan, has acquired Madison-based Semba Biosciences, according to release from the funding partner, Kegonsa Seed Fund, a Wisconsin based venture capital fund that was the first investor in Semba. The Semba product line extends from the Octave BIO System, a benchtop system for bioprocess development to a biopurification process for larger-scale biological manufacturing. Tosoh is a supplier of separation and purification products and technologies to the life sciences.
