Hoey was chief of police in South Beloit, Illinois and assistant deputy chief of police in Rockford, Illinois before becoming the village of Carpentersville, Illinois’ chief of police.
Pearson is currently acting chief of police for Janesville PD; he was previously deputy chief of operations.
The finalists will have a future meeting opportunity with the community following a series of interviews and recruitment tests.
