Today, the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 139 announced its endorsement of Sen. Melissa Agard as the next Dane County Executive.
Agard currently represents Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District and was unanimously elected as Senate Democratic Leader in November 2022. Prior to her time in the state Senate, Agard served in the Wisconsin State Assembly and on the Dane County Board.
Earlier this year, Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced his intent to resign in 2024. The general election for Dane County Executive will be held on Nov. 5, 2024. For more information about Agard’s campaign, click here.
