ITT students to get loans forgiven

Wisconsin was one of 43 states named in an agreement to forgive a total of $168 million in student loan debt.

More than 22,000 students were affected when ITT Technical College filed for bankruptcy and closed in 2016, leaving them in a financial lurch. In Wisconsin, about 650 former ITT students will have their student loans forgiven, totaling about $5.8 million, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
