With the U.S. violating ceasefires, Iran is set to stop communicating with its aggressor and fully close the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s state news said Monday.

CNBC reported that “no dialogue will take place” unless Israel withdraws its forces from Lebanon as the three main countries in the war navigate a way forward.

Iran also threatened to begin war actions on the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, a trade route connecting the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden.

After the announcement, oil prices jumped by 7%.
