President Donald Trump signed several executive orders on his first day back in office, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. Among his actions were efforts to crack down on illegal immigration, repeal dozens of former President Joe Biden’s actions, and instate an isolationist “America First” approach to international affairs.

In his initial actions, the president:

  • Issued pardons late Monday for roughly 1,500 people convicted or criminally charged in the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol attack;

  • Ordered an end to federal cases against “political opponents” of the Biden administration;

  • Signed a memorandum he said would direct all federal agencies to combat consumer inflation;

  • Repealed actions of Biden’s in an effort to ease regulatory burdens on oil and natural gas production;

  • Expects to impose 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico beginning Feb. 1;

  • Paused Congress’ TikTok ban for 75 days;

  • Pulled the U.S. out of the World Health Organization;

  • Ordered a comprehensive review of U.S. foreign aid spending;

  • Intends to sign an order to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, and to revert Mount Denali to its former name, Mount McKinley;

  • Ordered that flags be flown at full height every future Inauguration Day;

  • Reversed several Biden-era immigration orders, including one that focused deportation priorities on those who commit serious crimes, are national security threats, or are stopped at the border;

  • Declared a national emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border;

  • Temporarily suspended the U.S. Refugee Admission Program for a review of its “public safety and national security” implications;

  • Is ending Biden’s CBP One border app that gave legal entry to almost 1 million migrants;

  • Revoked active security clearances for several perceived enemies;

  • Signed documents to formally withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate agreements;

  • Declared an energy emergency;

  • Halted federal government hiring, apart from the military and a few other unnamed areas;

  • Formally empowered the Department of Government Efficiency, led by Elon Musk and currently not an official agency; and

  • Is decreasing protections for transgender people and terminating federal government programs for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
