The U.S. Senate will begin work on a nearly $1 trillion national infrastructure plan, according to a report from the Associated Press. The agreement by a bipartisan group of senators marks progress on a package that is key to President Joe Biden’s agenda. The Senate voted 67–32 to begin formal Senate consideration of the infrastructure package. Support by enough Republicans to get the final passage of the bill is unclear.
