The price of menstruation products is on an upward trajectoryCNBC reported 

Inflation and tariff policies are to blame, with prices rising over the past few years.  

Items like sanitary pads and tampons have risen by about 40% since 2020. Products that cost $5.37 per unit are now about $7.43 per unit, according to Circana, a market research firm.  

Over the same period, dollar sales from the products have risen by about 30%.

According to the latest CPI data, the inflation in personal care products in the U.S. is up 22.1% in February 2026 from January 2020.
