For those disappointed in the warm winter we’ve been having, here’s your chance to belly up to an ice-cold outdoor ice bar.
Café Hollander at Hilldale Shopping Center will be bringing a two-ton block of ice to the patio area in front of the business on Friday, Feb. 7. The block will be delivered and carved on site by Art Below Zero, a Wisconsin ice sculpting company from the Racine area.
Weather permitting, the 16-foot-long bar will be installed and carved in place on Friday, Feb. 7 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for curious onlookers. It will accommodate 15 people and be open for business Thursdays through Sundays, hopefully for at least three or four weekends, according to a Wisconsin State Journalstory, or until it melts.
