Billionaire Carl Icahn withdrew his bid to purchase truck manufacturer Oshkosh Corp. after his latest offer failed to tender his threshold of 25% of the company’s shares. His offer had valued the company at about $3 billion, and 22% of shares were tendered. Reportedly, Icahn could still wage a second successive proxy battle for control of the company’s board of directors.
