Woodward Communications Inc. (WCI), the parent company of In Business magazine, has acquired Providence Business News (PBN), based in Rhode Island.
PBN is a niche business-to-business, locally based media company.
Roger Bergenheim, former owner and publisher, operated PBN for 37 years, and the transition to Woodward Communications represents his succession plans for PBN and his retirement. As part of the transition, he will provide consulting services to PBN and Woodward over the next year.
Annemarie Brisson has been promoted to publisher and will provide overall leadership for PBN. PBN’s team is composed of 18 employees providing expertise and services in the areas of editorial content, sales and marketing, live events, print and digital production, and administration.
