Woodward Communications Inc. (WCI), the parent company of In Business Madison, has entered into an agreement to acquire four radio stations from Mid-West Family, which serves the Springfield, Illinois marketplace. The stations include WNNS-FM, WQLZ-FM, WMAY-FM, and WMAY-AM.
WCI previously acquired four radio stations from Neuhoff Media, also serving Springfield, on Oct. 1. It will engage in a strategic merger of these two operations.
The new acquisition is subject to FCC approval. Under FCC ownership rules, WCI must divest one of its current signals in Springfield. It has entered into an agreement to divest WCVS-FM.
