Staff and a patron at the Ian’s Pizza in the 300 block of North Frances Street were assaulted after asking a person to leave early Sunday morning, according to a police incident report.
Madison police officers responded to the downtown restaurant around 1:56 a.m. after being called by staff who reported a person had refused to leave and then assaulted a patron and staff. While police were on scene, the suspect reentered the restaurant and was taken into custody.
Minor injuries were reported by victims. Louis Miranda, 30, was arrested for three counts of battery, disorderly conduct, resisting, and trespassing.
