Hy-Vee to add retail security team

Iowa-based Hy-Vee supermarket company announced it will introduce a new retail security team to all stores, including two in Madison and one in Fitchburg. Retail security officers will be present in stores during operating hours, are trained to defuse situations, and will be equipped to protect the safety of both customers and employees. While officers are already in several stores, Hy-Vee will continue to recruit officers. Hy-Vee Inc. is an employee-owned corporation operating more than 285 retail stores across eight Midwestern states with sales of more than $12 billion annually.
