The Urban League of Greater Madison is hosting a “How to Ask for a Raise” event on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the Southwest Madison Employment Center, located at 1233 McKenna Blvd. The event will run from 6–8 p.m.
The session will provide:
- Effective negotiation techniques, with proven strategies to confidently approach salary negotiations and achieve higher compensation;
- Guidance in navigating compensation conversations, providing insights into how to initiate a conversation about salary with an employer or potential employer;
- Ways to overcome common challenges, including advice on handling objections, addressing concerns, and ensuring a win-win outcome; and
- A Q&A session with a panel of negotiation experts.
