Veridian Homes wants to build 684 new residences on the 160-acre Breunig property on the east side of Waunakee, according to an article in the Waunakee Tribune.
If approved by the village, there will be a combination of multi- and single-family homes on the Breunig property, which is bounded by Main Street to the south, Division Street to the west, and Schumacher Road to the east.
A recent report from the Waunakee Housing Task Force has recommended more housing options for senior citizens and workers. The Veridian plan calls for 393 single-family homes, 86 twin homes, and 205 multi-family homes with price points for first-time homebuyers in the $260,000 to $270,000 range.
Vandewalle & Associates would serve as the developer and builder.
