Hot ‘n Spicy will move from its current location in the back of Viet Hoa Market on Monona Drive to a new spot in the same strip mall, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
The business, which serves Southeast Asian food and has previously offered mainly takeout options, will become a regular counter-service restaurant and occupy the former Mishqui Peruvian Bistro space by the start of 2026.
The restaurant will go from three small tables with seating for 10 to a seating capacity up to 50 after the move. There will be a small bar that serves wine, sangrias and imported beer as well.
The food menu will remain largely unchanged, with around eight entrees, 12 appetizers, a pho noodle soup and two salads. Hot ‘n Spicy also plans to continue running weekend specials and will make a few menu additions.
The business will also have expanded hours. It will be open from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-8:30 p.m.
