Home Savings Bank (HSB) has been purchased by Dupaco Community Credit Union based in Dubuque, Iowa, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. HSB, a wholly owned subsidiary of Home Bancorp Wisconsin, was established in 1895 and has had two branches in Madison with assets of $180 million. The locations with two dozen employees are now operating under the Dupaco name. As a result of the merger, Dupaco’s membership is nearly 149,000 and its asset base is approximately $2.9 billion. Dupaco is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative that was founded in 1948 by Dubuque Packing Co. employees. It serves residents in 113 counties with 22 branch offices throughout Iowa, northwestern Illinois, and southern Wisconsin.
