The Wisconsin Realtors Association released statewide home sale figures for February, showing the ongoing story of limited listings driving home sale prices higher. The booming economy appears to be a factor, as well.
Home sales set records in the winter months of December 2017 through February 2018, WRA stated in a release, surpassing the previous year by 1.8%. Five years ago, the numbers were 15.8% lower.
In Dane County, February’s median home sale price was $269,250 compared to $249,900 in February 2017, an increase of 7.7%, although seven fewer homes were sold (373) in the month compared to last year (380).
