As of October 12, the Southwest Wisconsin MLS shows September home and condo sales in Dane County trailing slightly compared to September 2014, although prices increased.
There were 567 sales in September, down from 573 a year ago. The average sale price, however, increased to $274,970, up from $255,731. The median price also increased from $225,000 a year ago to $238,000.
In September of 2014, there were 2,700 active listings at the end of September. A year later, only 2,064 active residential listings were reported.
