Home Bancorp’s losses widen

Home Bancorp, the parent of Home Savings Bank in Madison, reported a wider loss for the quarter ending June 30 compared to the same period a year ago. It was the company’s first quarterly report since April, when the former mutual savings bank converted to a stock-based bank. The company showed a net loss of $247,000 (25 cents/share) as of June 30, compared to a $201,000 net loss for the same period last year. Assets increased from $115.2 million on Sept. 30 to $123.3 million on June 30.
