Holt-Smith Advisors will become part of Banyan Partners, a Florida-based independent investment and wealth advisory firm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Marilyn Holt-Smith will remain on as partner. Holt-Smith and Kristin Renk started the firm in 1987. It now has $100 million under management. Banyan has over $4 billion in assets under management, eight offices around the country, and will bring Holt-Smith clients a wider range of investment choices, according to reports. The deal is expected to close in October.
