Hilldale to host community (608) Day celebration

Hilldale is celebrating everything great about the (608) with a daylong celebration this June 8, according to a press release.

Activities happening on (608) Day include:

  • 10 a.m.–8 p.m. — Sidewalk and in-store sales, special deals at select retailers:

    • Café Hollander: Purchase a Lowlands Brewing Collaborative “High Speed Wit” for $6.08;

    • Forage Kitchen: $6.08 off purchases of $25 or more. Mention the sale at checkout in store or online/app orders should use promo code MSN608;

    • FreshFin: $6.08 regular Sesame Chopped Salad available in store with $2 from every salad going to Literacy Network;

    • Kendra Scott: Complimentary sips and sweets in store, Diamond Dogs Rescue in store from 2–4 p.m. with adoptable pups, plus 20% of purchases donated to the rescue when you mention their cause;

    • Levi’s: Special sale deals outdoors, free Levi’s tote with every purchase, free patch with purchase of two or more items;

    • Lush Cosmetics: From noon–4 p.m., press a bath bomb for $6.08 (while supplies last);

    • Macy’s: Beauty pop up in store with complimentary makeup and skincare services, plus an eight-piece gift set with any purchase of $68 or more;

    • Paper Source: Sale items outside for $6 and $8;

    • Twigs: BITCHSTIX lip balm on sale for $6.08;

    • Ulla Eyewear: 100 eyeglass and sunglasses frames marked to $60.80; and

    • UW Bookstore: Save $6.08 off a $40-plus purchase with coupon (sign up here).

  • 8 a.m.–1 p.m. — Hilldale Farmers Market happening behind L.L. Bean

  • 10 a.m.–noon — 608 Cabaret Series: Six different local singers will perform on The Green, each raising money for a community organization, including nonprofits like Urban Triage, Dane County Humane Society, the Rape Crisis Center, and more.   • 11 a.m.–1 p.m. — Lily’s Magical Treats offering complimentary cotton candy

  • Noon–2 p.m. — Acoustic guitarist Vince Sweeney will be performing on The Green

  • 2 p.m.–4 p.m. — Pride Family Portraits presented by OutReach LGBTQ+ Community Center (in front of the Rainbow Wall between Shake Shack and Gigi’s Cupcakes) in exchange for a donation to OutReach LGBTQ+ Community Center (advance sign up recommended here).
