Hilldale to host annual North Pole Party this Sunday

Hilldale is kicking off the holiday season with its annual North Pole Party on Sunday, Nov. 19 from 3–6 p.m.

Event features will include:

  • A chance to sit in Santa’s sleigh and pose for a photo with live reindeer on The Green;
  • A balloon artist and arts and crafts and goodie bags from Creando Explorertorium on The Green from 3–5 p.m.;
  • Capitol City Theatre carolers strolling around Hilldale from 3–5:30 p.m.;
  • Black Friday preview sales at various Hilldale shops like Bluemercury and FreshFin from 3–6 p.m.;
  • Craft ornaments with jingle bells to welcome Santa in the Macy’s atrium;
  • A chance at Paper Source to write a letter to Santa and create crafts;
  • Toy donations for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County toy drive in the Macy’s atrium;
  • A chance to meet Nutcracker dancers from the Monona Academy of Dance at Kendra Scott, with 20% off sales during the event donated to the Academy;
  • Complimentary Crescendo hot cocoa stands near Indochino and Morgan’s Shoes;
  • S’more-making outside Metcalfe’s, next to Paper Source;
  • Complimentary coffee and Rishi Tea samples at Wildewood;
  • Hot mulled wine in a holiday mug and a photo op at Amara;
  • A selfie stand near the 30-foot tree by Café Hollander;
  • Saxophonist Jonathan Hoel leading Santa to The Plaza for the tree lighting from 5:30–6 p.m.; and 
  • A tree lighting with Santa and reindeer in the Plaza at 6 p.m.
