The Supreme Court ruled this week that employers that cite religious or moral grounds may opt out of providing no-cost birth control to employees, according to an Associated Press report.

The decision comes after the Trump administration made a policy change to a health care law enacted during the Obama presidency. The lower courts had blocked the change to the policy and the challenge was escalated to the Supreme Court.

The 7–2 ruling could leave more than 70,000 women across the country without free contraception.
