Herzing University recently launched a fully online Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. Now open for enrollment, the program aims to equip students with culturally informed knowledge and skills to address complex social issues and advocate for social justice in diverse communities. The program has achieved Pre-Candidacy for Accreditation by the Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Commission on Accreditation.
The new online BSW program works to meet an increasing need for qualified social workers across the United States. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 7% growth in social worker employment from 2023-33, translating to approximately 67,300 job openings annually.
The new program is designed to support learners in urban, suburban and rural settings in a fully online format that allows for degree completion in as few as three years. It also includes access to virtual support services such as academic advising, tutoring, technical assistance and library resources. Herzing also offers a rolling admissions process.
