Public Health Madison and Dane County has withdrawn a 119-count complaint against A Leap Above Dance, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The complaint was dropped and the allegations will be incorporated into a counterclaim in a related lawsuit pending in Dane County Circuit Court.
The complaint alleges the dance studio violated a COVID-19 public health order by hosting a performance of the classic holiday ballet “The Nutcracker.” The facts of the case will be heard in a lawsuit filed against PHMDC by two parents who have children involved in sports teams.
