A request for tighter restrictions on nonessential business and gatherings was rejected by the Madison and Dane County Board of Health, according to a story from the Wisconsin State Journal.
A letter signed by more than 360 people asking for stricter controls was aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19 for schools to open in person sooner. The eight-member board heard arguments from several people in support of the restrictions but took no action related to the request.
