Madison-based Hartung Bros. Inc., a family owned agribusiness, acquired Syngenta Seed Inc.’s operations in Oahu and Kauai, Hawaii.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and closing is expected in the second quarter.
Hartung will offer employment to all Hawaiian-based Syngenta employees as a result and Syngenta will contract current Hawaii-based seed production from Hartung.
